What You Will Do:
- Assist with general construction tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, erecting barriers, and setting up work areas.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and distribute them to designated areas.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Follow project blueprints and instructions to ensure quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties on construction sites, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks, ensuring projects remain on schedule.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards (OSHA compliance).
- Load and unload building materials from trucks and transport them to job sites.
- Follow all company safety protocols and site-specific instructions.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and toolbox talks.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices.
- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
- No prior experience required; training provided for motivated candidates.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
