Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation under supervisor guidance
- Safely operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, forklifts)
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades with layout, measurement, and installation tasks
- Inspect materials and equipment for compliance with project specifications
- Participate in daily safety briefings and emergency response drills
- Complete documentation accurately and submit to project management
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 30-hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculation
- Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Availability for consistent night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) with overtime potential
- Preferred: Experience with concrete work, scaffolding, or demolition
