Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) under certified supervision
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and concrete work
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Complete daily progress reports and site documentation
- Participate in emergency response drills and safety briefings
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience or trade apprenticeship
- OSHA 10-Hour certification required (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficient with hand/power tools and basic construction equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to pass background check and substance screening
- Evening/overnight availability with flexible scheduling
