Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
- Site Preparation: Clear debris, dig trenches, and prepare surfaces for foundation work or paving.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate power tools, jackhammers, generators, and hand tools under supervision.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradesmen including carpenters, electricians, and framers with various tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Transportation: Transport materials between storage and job sites using hand trucks or forklifts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in general labor or construction is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and weekends.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand for long periods, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Safety Compliance: Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and willingness to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
