Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various on-site tasks and duties as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by sweeping, shoveling, and removing debris.
- Job Prep: Perform pre-work tasks such as digging, trenching, and setting forms to prepare for concrete pours.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor for up to 10 hours a day; must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
