Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, grading, and clearing debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Support: Operate and maintain basic construction equipment, such as concrete mixers, drills, and saws, under supervision.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored at the end of the shift.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as needed to keep projects on schedule.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure job site.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; we provide training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM or similar).
- Driver's License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for site transportation.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Communication: Basic English skills to understand instructions and communicate with team members.
