Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed by the foreman.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and tools (e.g., jackhammers, generators) safely and efficiently.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and site cleanliness protocols.
- Assistance: Provide general support to skilled tradesmen, including painting, drywalling, or carpentry assistance as needed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for 8-10 hours a day, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or warehouse labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Tools: Willingness to provide your own basic safety gear (boots, hard hat) or adhere to company uniform standards.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
