Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including material handling, site cleanup, and equipment operation
- Perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials up to 50 lbs
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA protocols and reporting hazards
- Support site preparation including excavation, trenching, and foundation work
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – full training provided
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for 8+ hours
- Valid government-issued photo ID and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work overnight shifts (typically 6 PM - 4 AM)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material counting
- Positive attitude and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical/drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends as project needs dictate
