Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at the job site safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery, such as saws, drills, and forklifts, under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assistance: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Quality Control: Assist in basic inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Communication: Report safety hazards and material shortages to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction labor or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time night shifts (typically 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is preferred.
- Safety Certification: OSHA 10 or 30 Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the job site in San Antonio, TX.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
