Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment operation (excavators, jackhammers, etc.)
- Execute trenching, shoring, and site preparation tasks under supervisor guidance
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols during night operations
- Operate power tools and machinery with proper certification/training
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and manage waste disposal
- Collaborate with crew members to meet nightly production targets
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or heavy labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Class B CDL or equipment operation certification preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Virginia Beach
- Flexible schedule availability (6 PM - 6 AM shifts)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
