Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment operation under site supervisor guidance
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, demolition, and site preparation tasks
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and hand tools efficiently
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with crew members to maintain workflow and productivity targets
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain organized work zones
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent trade training
- Valid OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Detroit metro area
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as project demands require
