Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic hand tools and power equipment safely under supervision.
- General Labor: Perform general cleanup duties, including sweeping, raking, and removing waste materials.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily tasks and installations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Measurement: Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed by project managers.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a history of reliable attendance.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Transportation: Must have access to reliable personal transportation to commute to the job site.
- Attention to Detail: Willingness to learn the correct procedures for all tasks.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or early mornings when required.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not always required.
