Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, including cleanup, excavation, and material staging
- Handle and transport construction materials using proper equipment and techniques
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks like concrete pouring, framing, or roofing
- Operate basic tools (hammers, saws, drills) under supervision
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and project instructions
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
- Preferable: OSHA 10-hour certification (training provided)
