Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and leveling the ground as directed.
- Basic Tool Operation: Operate hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) and power tools under the supervision of skilled tradesmen.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning up spills, and removing waste.
- Support Duties: Provide general labor assistance to carpenters, electricians, and other construction crews as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to and from job sites.
- Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn new skills and a proactive attitude toward completing tasks.
