Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Perform physical labor duties such as digging, lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools under supervision
- Maintain clean and safe work areas by following OSHA guidelines and site protocols
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and communicate effectively with team members
- Participate in project-specific tasks like concrete pouring, framing support, and demolition work
- Adhere to strict safety standards and report hazards immediately to supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in team settings
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., O-10 card) through company-sponsored training
