Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters, masons, and electricians with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow OSHA safety protocols
- Perform excavation, demolition, and debris removal as assigned
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Participate in building framework, concrete pouring, and finishing tasks
- Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions immediately
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required - we train from the ground up!
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory for hire)
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
