Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and light machinery under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated locations
- Perform trenching, excavation, and backfilling tasks as directed
- Assist with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing operations
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Must be physically able to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily and climb ladders safely
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and following instructions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (company-sponsored)
