Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with daily construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, saws, jackhammers)
- Load/unload construction materials and safely transport them to designated areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site following OSHA guidelines
- Read and interpret simple instructions and blueprints to support project execution
- Participate in physical tasks such as digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and scaffolding setup
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with consistent attendance
- Basic communication skills for team collaboration
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear provided PPE
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
