Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in site preparation, material handling, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, saws, shovels) and light equipment under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and safely transport supplies across sites
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized, hazard-free work zones
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and demolition work
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing operations as needed
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with clean record (for equipment operation)
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Jacksonville
- Positive attitude and commitment to safety-first practices
