Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using dollies, forklifts, or hand trucks.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, with various tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and organizing tools and materials.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision (e.g., generators, pressure washers, and small power tools).
- Excavation & Prep: Assist with digging, grading, and preparing the site for foundations, concrete pouring, or landscaping.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure workplace for everyone.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the construction trade and a positive attitude toward training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing, walking, and bending frequently.
- Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are essential; we value team members who show up on time and ready to work.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow workers.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not strictly required.
- Safety Awareness: Basic understanding of construction site safety is a plus.
