Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing debris and organizing tools.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack lumber, bricks, and other construction materials safely and efficiently.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide general support to carpenters, electricians, and masons as directed by the foreman.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- Measurements & Layout: Assist in measuring and marking areas for cutting and installation.
- Transportation: Transport materials to and from the job site using hand trucks or dollies.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn the construction trade.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic measurements and counting.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse crew.
- Attendance: Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
