Job Summary
As a Construction Laborer, you will be the backbone of our daily operations. You will work alongside experienced craftsmen to assist in building commercial and residential structures. This is a physically demanding role that requires a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas before the physical building process begins.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assisting Trades: Provide support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, by fetching tools and materials.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris, trash, and excess materials at the end of the day.
- Basic Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools under supervision, including drills, saws, and levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any hazards immediately.
- Excavation Support: Assist in digging trenches or foundations as directed by the project supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn and a willingness to get the job done, regardless of the physical demand.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred but not required for the initial hire.
