Job Overview
As a Construction Laborer, you will support our skilled tradespeople in various residential and commercial projects. This role is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in the building and construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and transport them to work areas.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including mixing concrete, cleaning work areas, and assisting carpenters or electricians.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and tools (under supervision) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and drills.
- Quality Control: Help ensure that work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe according to OSHA standards.
- Site Support: Help with basic measurements, cutting, and fitting of materials as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and be willing to travel to various job sites within the Dallas area.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work well in a team environment.
