Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Load/unload construction materials and ensure organized storage at job sites
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by removing debris and hazards
- Follow all safety protocols and wear provided protective gear (hard hats, boots, etc.)
- Support various tasks including concrete pouring, framing assistance, and finishing work
- Adhere to project timelines and communicate progress to site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience requiredâfull training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods)
- Valid driverâs license preferred but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6AM-4PM)
- Basic communication skills and willingness to follow instructions
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (standard for all hires)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within NYC boroughs
