Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with material handling and site setup
- Perform excavation support, trenching, and backfilling under supervision
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and light machinery (concrete mixers, jackhammers)
- Maintain clean and organized job sites, including debris removal and waste management
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE (hard hats, vests, steel-toed boots)
- Read basic blueprints and material specifications for task execution
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as directed
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or related labor experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must possess own basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, utility knife)
