Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various on-site tasks and general construction duties.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools (including forklifts, jackhammers, and drills) under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by removing debris and adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform basic measurements, cutting, and fitting of materials (wood, concrete, drywall) as directed by the foreman.
- Transport materials to and from different work zones efficiently and safely.
- Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and climbing.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting to sites.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on different job sites.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided for enthusiastic candidates.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work well within a diverse crew.
