Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials using trucks, dollies, and hand trucks efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various on-site tasks as needed.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and correctly under supervision.
- Ensure the job site remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA preferred).
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from foremen and supervisors.
- Valid driver's license (not required but a significant plus).
