Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Assist Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and masons by fetching tools, holding materials, or performing basic tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (such as jackhammers, concrete mixers, or skid steers) under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring and marking layout locations, as well as cutting and shaping materials.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not strictly required; willing to train the right candidate.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or early mornings if necessary.
