Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
- General Labor: Perform various manual tasks including mixing concrete, carrying lumber, and operating basic hand tools.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing trash and debris after work is completed.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with necessary tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to arrive on time and stay focused throughout the shift.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Attitude: Willingness to learn and follow safety instructions strictly.
