Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, site preparation, and demolition tasks
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions for precise material placement
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce OSHA safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Perform basic concrete finishing and scaffolding assembly
- Document daily progress and material usage via digital reporting tools
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year commercial construction or heavy labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Experience with power tools and construction site machinery preferred
