Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Clean job sites, remove debris, and prepare areas for construction activities.
- Equipment Support: Assist in the operation and maintenance of basic construction equipment and tools.
- Trade Assistance: Support journey-level tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks as directed.
- Measurement: Measure and cut materials (wood, drywall, etc.) to required specifications under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic hand tool knowledge is a plus.
