Responsibilities
- Operate Tools: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and levels.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, with various tasks.
- Read Blueprints: Interpret basic blueprints and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Site Cleanup: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris after daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a laborer or in a similar construction role is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Tools: Willingness to provide your own basic personal protective equipment (PPE) if necessary.
