Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators) under certified supervision
- Install and remove construction scaffolding and safety barriers
- Assist carpenters and masons with material preparation and cleanup
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and project specifications
- Maintain organized job sites and proper waste disposal procedures
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checks and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction site experience required
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class B CDL license with airbrake endorsement preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Availability for flexible shifts including overtime and weekends
- Basic knowledge of construction blueprints and measurements
