Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (jackhammers, saws, drills)
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with installation tasks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness standards
- Read blueprints and follow precise instructions from supervisors
- Transport materials and equipment using forklifts or manual methods
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience or relevant trade certification
- OSHA 10-hour certification required (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills in English/Spanish
