Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation, including clearing, excavating, and leveling areas for construction projects.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely under the supervision of a foreman.
- Assembly: Help assemble and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and forms.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing debris and waste regularly.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
- Communication: Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in general construction or labor work is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety equipment.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude.
