Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, excavation, and material handling
- Safely operate hand tools and basic machinery under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA guidelines
- Load/un construction materials and debris using proper techniques
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions for task completion
- Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions promptly
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Commitment to safety protocols and team collaboration
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Orleans Parish
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
