Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using hand trucks, forklifts, or manual labor.
- Assistance & Support: Help skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with basic tasks, such as holding materials, cleaning work areas, and operating power tools.
- Quality Control: Ensure all materials and workmanship meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Site Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and report any hazards immediately.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, hauling trash, and ensuring tools are returned after use.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction labor, framing, or masonry preferred (candidates with a strong work ethic and no experience will be considered).
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and dependable with a proven track record in labor-intensive work.
