Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and construction equipment (e.g., saws, drills, generators) under supervision to assist in building and demolition tasks.
- Assistance with Trades: Provide direct support to carpenters, electricians, and plumbers as needed to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all OSHA safety regulations and site protocols.
- Measurement & Layout: Assist in measuring and marking areas for cutting and assembly, ensuring precision in all tasks.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general handyman work is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on-site.
- Safety First: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace safety protocols.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
