Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools (including power drills, saws, and levels) safely and efficiently.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to ensure precise construction specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on feet for extended hours.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn new construction techniques and safety standards.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a history of consistent attendance.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from the job site.
