Responsibilities
- Excavate, prepare, and level construction sites using hand/power tools and heavy machinery
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate power tools including jackhammers, saws, and drills for site preparation
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site setup
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes
- Participate in emergency site response and weather-related project adaptations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and overnight shifts when required
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
