Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, digging, backfilling, and site grading to prepare grounds for construction.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (wood, concrete, bricks) using hand tools, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Support Trades: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks including framing, drywall hanging, and cleanup.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in strict compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Measurement & Cutting: Perform basic measurements and cut materials to precise specifications as directed.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting 50+ lbs and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as project demands require.
