Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing under trade supervision
- Safely operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, forklifts)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material handling and prep work
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to safety improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience or vocational training certification
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb scaffolding, and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (6 AM - 4 PM) with weekday rest
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
