Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, and transporting heavy construction materials to and from the job site.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various aspects of the construction process.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site in strict compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Set up and break down scaffolding, temporary structures, and work areas.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and site plans to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic site cleanup, including debris removal and waste disposal.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but not required for motivated applicants.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) on a regular basis.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and excellent teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of construction terminology is a plus.
