Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground according to blueprints.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site.
- Concrete & Masonry: Mix concrete, pour forms, and assist skilled tradespeople with bricklaying or framing tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools under supervision (e.g., brooms, wheelbarrows, jackhammers).
- Communication: Actively communicate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Safety Mindset: Commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in previous employment.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Communication Skills: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
