Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and material handling at active construction sites
- Operate hand tools and power equipment (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with foundation work, framing, and site preparation
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to strict safety standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Jacksonville
- Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays 6 AM - 6 PM (OT available)
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols
- Strong communication skills for team coordination
- Drug-free workplace compliance required
- Willingness to undergo background check
