Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision to aid in daily operations.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Support journeyman and apprentice tradespeople with various manual tasks as required by project supervisors.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long hours.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general labor, or related fields is preferred but not required; training provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for site travel.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
