Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning areas, setting up barriers, and ensuring the workspace is safe and organized.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and tools, including jackhammers, pressure washers, and generators, under supervision.
- Support Tasks: Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks such as mixing concrete, digging trenches, or assisting with framing and drywall.
- Cleanup: Maintain a clean and debris-free job site at the end of each shift to ensure safety compliance.
- Site Security: Lock gates and secure materials after work hours to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and the ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
