We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to tackle the unique challenges of construction work in the Big Easy.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with general site preparation, including digging, hauling, and cleanup.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed by foremen or supervisors.
- Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision.
- Perform heavy lifting and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project needs.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must be available to work full weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols is a plus.
