Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, laying groundwork, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform various manual tasks including digging, mixing concrete, carpentry assistance, and painting support.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools under supervision (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, saws).
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing waste and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Trade Assistance: Support professional tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, framers) with basic tasks and measurements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills quickly.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Tools: Own basic personal safety gear (steel-toed boots, hard hat) is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
