Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and jackhammers under supervision.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual labor tasks, including digging, trenching, and mixing concrete as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by sweeping, cleaning up spills, and removing waste regularly.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) on a regular basis.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Safety Conscious: Basic understanding of workplace safety protocols and the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English effectively.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
